MPS students write better than state average

State writing assessments are given in grades 4, 8 and 11 in the spring and measure student proficiency. The Nebraska Department of Education released the Nebraska State Accountability (NeSA) writing scores Oct 14, that showed the state average of all students meeting / exceeding state standards has dropped, from 72 percent in 2015 to 70 percent in 2016...
