City receives $277K more in sales tax revenue than expected

McCOOK, Nebraska -- City of McCook one percent sales tax receipts came in at $148,032 for the month of September, which represented the final month in the city's 2011-12 budgeted fiscal year. According to the information provided by city staff, during the 12 month timeframe one percent sales tax receipts exceeded their budgeted revenue by $277,662 and came in $146,905 more than the prior fiscal year...
