You would think that the isolated rural regions of mid-America would escape the problems of illegal drug use. Ironically, just the opposite is the case. I'm glad about the way they did that mock disaster drill. I hope the kids and some adults will get scared out of their wits. Unless they want something bad to happen, it needs to be real to be a wake-up call and this was it. Maybe they could have handled it better, but if they're mad and scared, thats good...

FARMINGTON, N.M. -- Helen Mary Haag, 72, died Saturday (April 13, 2002) at San Juan Medical Center, Farmington, N.M. She was born Aug. 16, 1929, at Superior, to George T. and Fannie Kempkes. She graduated from Superior High School. On July 2, 1955, she married Joseph Anthony Haag at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Superior. They moved to San Juan County in July 1960.
