Dear Editor, I agree 100 percent with councilman Lyons concerning the Romanoff property on Norris Avenue and B Street. Why would anyone think the tax payers of McCook should be saddled with the cost of tearing down this old building? The owners should be sent a notice to either fix up or remove it. If this isn't done, the city should condemn it and charge the Romanoffs the cost of tearing it down...

Three McCook residents have not yet received their 2001 tax refund from the Internal Revenue Service. Patrick and Pamela Minary and Jamie Shepherd did not receive their refunds because, most likely, the taxpayer moved and did not notify the IRS.
