Water woes caused by cold (Local News ~ 03/04/21)
McCOOK, Neb. — A leak was discovered Wednesday morning when city personnel found water running in what should have been a dry storm sewer. The water was traced back to Norris Ave and J Street. where Water Department staff found a broken water main. The main was situated just below a storm sewer that appeared to have settled. It was assumed that the recent freezing and thawing of the ground had resulted in the storm sewer settling and pushing on the water main causing it to crack... -
