Summer flu 'cluster' adding to hot weather misery

McCOOK, Neb. -- Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) has been notified of a cluster of Influenza B cases in the nine-county health district. Influenza is highly contagious and is caused by the influenza virus. The virus is spread from person to person primarily through droplets, which are released when an infected person coughs or sneezes. SWNPHD highly recommends regular handwashing, covering your cough, staying home when you are sick with a fever, and getting a flu shot each year as prevention methods.. ...
