'Tig' the service cat, and his relatives
(Letter to the Editor ~ 09/18/17)
Dear Editor, El Dorado Manor has a “service cat” named “Tig.” He has a new forever home that other felines only dream of having. In Egypt, cats were buried with the pharaohs in their tombs so they could live with them in the afterlife. McCOOK, Neb. — Annie’s packin’. Again. No, Annie Trail’s not carrying a gun. What she and her volunteers are “packing” again are Christmas boxes for American troops … for the 11th year in a row. Several years ago, Annie wondered whether she wanted to continue spearheading another “Adopt-a-Chaplain” drive for donations and coordinating the packing parties to mail the donations to troops serving overseas. She took her question to God. His answer was, “Yes … of course you do. Why do you ask?”... -
