A Nebraska state fire marshal has not yet made a declaration of the cause of the fire July 16 that destroyed a World War II-era hangar at the former U.S. Army Air Base northwest of McCook, Nebraska. Red Willow Western Rural Fire Department Fire Chief Bill Elliott said this morning the fire marshal was "very meticulous and very thorough" as he investigated the charred ruins of the hangar owned by Hanchera farms.
