McCOOK, Nebraska -- Several members of the public asked the McCook School Board Monday night at the regular meeting why a teacher who allowed underage drinking in her home was not terminated. At the meeting, four members of the community addressed the board concerning the hearing June 11, where McCook High School's principal Jerry Smith, assistant principal Jeff Gross and McCook School Superintendent Grant Norgaard recommended the termination of Lana Egle, a special education teacher at the McCook School District, after an investigation and interview with Egle revealed that she had allowed students to drink at her home on three separate occasions.. ...
