Dog licenses needed
(Letter to the Editor ~ 08/12/09)
Dear Friends, It has been brought to my attention that the city council is considering to disregard the dog and cat licensing for the city of McCook. This method of helping control the pet population is long overdue and it would be very sad to let a few complaints disrupt a good cause again. Kudos for parks
(Letter to the Editor ~ 08/12/09)

"I hope this travels all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.: take a deep breath," Johanns said at town hall meeting Tuesday night at the Heritage Senior Center in McCook. "People are very, very angry and justifiably so ... If there was ever a time to take a break and get this right, the time is now."...
