District 44 candidates speak out -- Mark Christensen

We both believe in this great State and Country, and we would like to make a difference. I married Mark Christensen because he is a great man. He is loving, caring and a wonderful father. Just the facts, please
(Letter to the Editor ~ 10/25/06)
Like Mr. Hobbs I appreciated the Editorial titled "Negative Ads Obscure the Issues." The article titled "Christensen, Ricketts blast opponents' pro-life credentials" on 10/18/06 was coverage of a story as it happened. The rebuttal article entitled "Shoemaker, Nelson say attacks unfair" on 10/20/06 was appropriate to allow those candidates to repudiate the claims until it came to the last two paragraphs...

Concern for water customers
(Letter to the Editor ~ 10/25/06)
As City Council ponders an earlier due date for water bills. Councilman Conroy and Mayor Berry should be commended. Their concern for those whose only income is a late month Social Security check is valid and insightful. I believe moving the past due date to the 22nd of each month as being considered will put and undue hardship on hundreds of seniors...
