Five charged with forgery, counterfeiting

CAMBRIDGE -- Three women and two men were arraigned Monday in Furnas County court in Beaver City on charges of counterfeiting and forgery. The FBI has also filed charges, and the five are in jail awaiting transport to federal custody. Furnas County Sheriff J.H. Pulley said the arrests on Thursday came after his office received a warning of a Hispanic male and female who were attempting to cash fraudulent checks at banks in Southwest Nebraska.
