Ex-Husker player-now-coach part of U.S. Olympic gold team

Former Husker great Tyronn Lue helped the 2024 USA Men’s National Team to its fifth straight gold medal with a 98-87 win over France in the gold medal game. Lue, who has served as an assistant coach with the national team staff since February of 2023, helped Team USA to a perfect 6-0 mark in the Olympics and an 11-0 mark during the summer of 2024.
