The McCook Community College men dropped an 87-56 decision Saturday at home to Laramie County Community College. “Flat out, we just weren’t very good,” said MCC Coach Jacob Brandl. “We were not good in any facet. We got dominated on the glass, we turned the ball over, we gave them easy buckets and we couldn’t make a shot offensively.”...

The McCook Community College opened the home schedule Friday in a big way with a 99-74 win over Eastern Wyoming. MCC never trailed and once led 73-35. “A great effort from us. The McCook Community College women’s basketball team lost its second straight home game to open the season, dropping a 57-50 game Saturday against Laramie County Community College. The Golden Eagles gained a 15-14 first quarter lead, then scored the first four points and went on a 7-2 run to extend the lead to 22-16. MCC battled back and sophomore transfer Audra Vine (Thornton, Colo.) hit a 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer to pull MCC back to 29-24...

McCOOK, Neb. — Commissioners plan to cut their meetings to twice a month to free up time for other county business.
