Richard was born July 10, 1939, in Union Township, to Adrian F. and Tressie B. (Flood) Samson. Richard’s life began on his aunts farm, east of Atwood. The family moved to the farm east of Ludell in 1941, when he was two. Richard spent the remainder of his life on the farm he loved so dearly... -

Firefighters were called to the Steve Bales home on 313 Park Ave. at 8:49 p.m. when the owner reported his basement was on fire.
