Commissioners lock in health care costs

McCOOK, Neb. — Red Willow County locked prices for a major expense Monday, but still could switch companies that administer the self-insurance plan it uses to provide health insurance and drug coverage for county employees. Amber Anderson of the Olson Group said the county had a relatively low amount of insurance claims so far this year, more than $430,000, but said the county would have to cover the costs of one mandatory audit of its health insurance program and another one which would need to be done on a less urgent basis. ...
