McCOOK, Neb —The McCook City Council will be asked to approve an insurance carrier from Kearney, Neb., for the City of McCook, at its regular meeting Monday, 6:30 p.m., at city council chambers at the McCook Municipal building. "Lego Guy" Curtis Monk of Platteville, Colo., will visit the McCook Public Library Monday, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., and invites youngsters to come play with his collection of Lego blocks. Monk, a Lego historian, said during his 2017 visit in McCook that the word "Lego" is derived from the Danish phrase "leg godt," which means "play well." The modern-day Lego building block celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2018. ...
