McCOOK, Neb. — A convicted felon arrested on weapon and drug possession charges was sentenced to probation earlier this month in Red Willow County District Court following a plea agreement. The McCook man, 53-year-old Stephen E. Cornelius of 607 West 5th Street, was sentenced to 12 months probation and ordered to pay a $100 fine after admitting guilt to a trio of charges, including a Class IV felony offense for attempted possession of a deadly weapon by a felon; a Class 3 misdemeanor for possession of more than one ounce of marijuana; and an infraction for possession of drug paraphernalia.. ... -
