Tooooo much! Dear Editor, Question: When did religion become illegal? OK, maybe not illegal -- but let's say "forbidden." I think the taxpayers should weigh in on this Item. Maybe, the time is right for some more tax appropriation reductions. I think less money to spend will allow the judicial people to focus on the right issues...

McCook's Jeff Shaddock fired a hole-in-one last Saturday at Heritage Hills Golf Course. Shaddock used a 7-iron to ace the 160-yard 16th hole. Witnesses for Shaddock's ace were Bob Gaulke, Tom Bennett and Mitch Lyster.

HOLBROOK -- Jerry L. Wagner, 68, died Wednesday (Aug. 20, 2003) in Houston, Texas of cancer. He was born March 27, 1935, to Dr. John Sidney Wagner and Verna Ruth (Hutchinson) Wagner in rural Holbrook. In 1961, he married Mary Mae Ebert. The couple lived most of their lives in Avis, Pa. He spent many years with Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven, Pa., and was project engineer on the Piper Turbo Prop Program which involved Piper Cheyenne Aircraft...
