Without the volunteering of services, our show would not meet budgeted expenses of $5,000. Dear Editor, I am so sick of the animal activists/biologists/environmentalists publishing fairy tales about how the "poor" coyote is so maligned and that all they eat is carrion, grasshoppers and berries. HASTINGS -- Lucille Mildred (Wegener) Block, 75, died Tuesday (March 12, 2002) at Hastings. She was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Norton, Kan. to August and Mildred (Rathe) Wegener. She grew up in the McCook area. On Oct. 12, 1952, she married Richard Esslinger of McCook. They made their home on a farm north of Arapahoe before later moving to Lexington. Following his death, she married James Kring in 1989; and after his death, married Edwin Block in 1997...
