Lucille Helen Gohl died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook at the age of 81. She was born Dec. 24, 1921, at Aurora, the daughter of the late Christian and Elizabeth (Fritz) Schaffert. I have spent the better part of the past week in kind of a pleasant day-dreamy haze. Part of it's because it's nearly Thanksgiving -- and I love Thanksgiving.
