New columnist?
(Column ~ 02/12/03)
I think the Gazette should replace the Argus Hamilton column with one by Steve Stramel. Now this guy is really funny. I also think he is serious. The government would like us to think there is an enemy hiding behind every bush, and that keeps a Bush in the White House...

Schimek response
(Column ~ 02/12/03)
My comment is a response to (State Sen.) Diane Schimek's letter. If you had an employee who put you that far in debt, would you give them an $8,000 raise or would you give them the boot?

I thought Pat Redfern's article in the Open Forum on Thursday was right on target., also the Editorial Roundup from Alabama, was the same. What really is the hurry, Georgie? Do you really think we are about to be attacked by Saddam, or do you think a war will jack up the stock market and the economy?...

Once I entered high school, I didn't darken the doors of a school kitchen until Benjamin entered kindergarten. I was, after all, way too cool to eat school lunch.
