McCook Schools to meet Monday

Friday, April 11, 2025

McCOOK, Neb. - The McCook School Board will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 14 to cover several key topics. The Jr. High Bond Survey results indicate sufficient support for a bond campaign, with community concerns focused on student safety, occupational training, and structural stability. Cost will likely be at the forefront of the discussions as efforts to reduce project costs for the Jr. High Building have been challenging due to rising expenses.

The superintendent will discuss his recent trip to Washington D.C., including takeaways, insights, and plans moving forward. The school improvement team has reviewed the external report evaluating McCook Public Schools and is preparing to set the goals for the next year. Additionally, the meeting will address resignations and the approval of new ELA materials.
