HERNDON, Kan. - Linda Lou (Jording) Bosler, 85, of Herndon, died Saturday, March 15, 2025. Linda was born on her parent’s farm in rural Decatur County. She was the youngest of 11 children and the last to pass away. Linda enjoyed her years on the farm playing with her siblings. She attended St. John’s Lutheran School for elementary and secondary education. By the time Linda was ready to attend high school, her parents had moved to Oberlin. Linda graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1957.
After graduation, she attended Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Neb. She taught in the Lutheran Parochial Schools for 33 years, beginning her career in Deshler, Neb. Linda also taught in San Antonio and Fort Worth, Tex. and Denver, Colo. Linda loved teaching and her students loved her. Linda was also the director at a day care center in Denver for over 15 years.
Linda married Wayne E. Bosler in 1960. They were blessed with a son, Barry Edward. Linda and Wayne celebrated 63 years of marriage in 2023.
Linda and Wayne retired and moved from Denver to Herndon, Kan. Linda loved beagles and especially her dog Maxi. She loved to study the Bible and was a devout follower of our Lord. Linda also loved to knit, crochet, read books and write letters.
Survivors include her three grandchildren, Joshua Bosler, Torey Bosler and friend Dustin, and Nick and Abby Boettcher, two great grandchildren, Grayson and Desmond Boettcher and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son, daughter-in-law, her parents and her in-laws, eight sisters, two brothers and their spouses.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Oberlin, with inurnment at Rose Hill Cemetery, in Ludell.
