Noxious weed and extension report on County agenda
The Red Willow County Board of Commissioners will convene for its regular meeting on Monday, March 24, 2025, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the county courthouse. Following approval of the agenda and review of claims, the board will hold a public comment period at 9:00 a.m., inviting citizens to share concerns not already listed on the agenda.
At 9:15 a.m., the Board of Equalization will conduct a public hearing to consider tax exemption applications. That will be followed at 9:30 a.m. by the Noxious Weed Control Authority, which will review the latest weed control evaluation from the State of Nebraska.
The Board of Commissioners will reconvene at 9:45 a.m. to hear an annual report from Teresa Thomas of the Extension Office. Additional items on the agenda include approval of minutes, payroll and claims, and authorizations related to a fairgrounds tractor lease, bridge contracts with Miller & Associates, and a benefits agreement with Svoboda Benefits Commission. The board will also review correspondence, including an invitation to the McCook Economic Development Corporation’s annual meeting and dam inspection reports from the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources.
