Expected high winds erase MCC road game on Tuesday

McCook Community College’s baseball game scheduled for Tuesday in Liberal, Kan. against Seward County Community College has been postponed because of forecasted high winds. No makeup date has been set.

MCC is scheduled to travel to Las Vegas, N.M. to begin Region IX play this weekend with doubleheaders Friday and Saturday starting at 1 p.m. MCC is 10-11 on the season and Luna is 5-15.

Despite having a losing record, the Indians have the highest winning percentage of any Region IX team (The Empire League) entering the start of region play. Other series starting this weekend include Southeast Community College at Western Nebraska, Lamar at Trinidad State and Otero at Northeastern Junior College.
