Husker women make it into March Madness as No. 10 seed
The Nebraska women’s basketball team is the No. 10 seed in the Birmingham 3 Region of the NCAA tournament and will play seventh-seeded Louisville on Friday in Forth Worth, Texas.
The 68-team bracket was announced on Sunday evening. It is NU’s third NCAA tournament appearance in four seasons.
"I am excited for our players," NU coach Amy Williams said in a release. "I love coaching this group of Huskers and can't wait to get back out on the practice court with them tomorrow to get ready for Louisville. We have great respect for Louisville's program and coach Jeff Walz, who coached me when I was a player here at Nebraska."

1997-98, was coached by Walz during her senior season as a Husker.
Walz, who helped Nebraska to three straight NCAA tournament appearances as an assistant under head coach Paul Sanderford from 1997-98 to 1999-2000, is in his 18th year as Louisville's head coach. His team is 21-10 overall and 13-5 in the ACC.
Nebraska brings a 21-11 overall record (10-8 Big Ten) into the tournament.
The Nebraska-Louisville winner will play the TCU-Fairleigh Dickinson winner on Sunday. TCU is the region’s No. 2 seed.
