Roughriders rumble through Bulls for 11-1 start

BARTLEY, Neb. — The Southwest girls weren’t overlooking Hi-Line as a 21-2 first quarter led to their 57-17 home victory Tuesday night.

Now 11-1, Southwest fans saw freshman Aspen Billeter make seven of 12 field goals and nearly match those Bulls’ team total with 16 points.

Senior Anastasia Gallegos brought her owen athletic talents to the hoop while scoring another 15.

Junior Kyra Nelms netted another nine points and senior point guard Allison VanPelt put in eight.

VanPelt was part of a full-court defensive effort which led to her swiping several steals before the game even reached halftime.

Senior Atleigh Nelms netted four more points.

The Hi-Line boys did salvage a varsity split when they downed Southwest, 47-42.
