Southern Valley girls win big at Bertrand

BERTRAND, Neb. — Southern Valley continued its usual winning ways as the girls beat rival Bertrand, 57-24, in varsity basketball Thursday evening.

Senior guard Adi Hunt made quick work of the Vikings defense with 16 game-high points.

Senior teammate Brynn Baily provided the inside presence while putting another 13 points through the nets.

Vanesa Aguayo, another senior from last year’s state finalists, dropped in 11 points and junior powerhouse Tori Bose tallied nine.

Senior Brecklyn Hammond added four points to go with two apice from reserves Mikah Schultz and Payton Adam. The Eagles are pursuing another RPAC title.
