Hospital Foundation names new board member
McCOOK, Neb. – Community Hospital Health Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Michal Swanson to its board of directors. Swanson, who owns Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel with his wife Angie, is a respected community leader and long-standing supporter of the Health Foundation. He is passionate about advancing health care in the region. Swanson joins current members Bruce McDowell, Jim Hall, Cathy Kenny, Shari Lewis, Matt Tiller, and Troy Bruntz.
Additionally, Karen Craw, Matt Nielsen, and Ashley Vontz will continue to represent Community Hospital’s board of directors on the Health Foundation board for another one-year term. Their ongoing involvement reflects their dedication to supporting the Foundation’s mission.
As the Foundation welcomes Swanson, it also bids a fond farewell to Neil Gohl, whose term concluded at the end of December. Gohl began his service in 2018, stepping in to complete Bill Burton’s term, and went on to serve two full three-year terms. During his tenure, he provided exceptional leadership on the Executive Committee, including multiple years as Chair and Vice Chair.
“We are deeply grateful to Neil for his remarkable contributions and leadership,” said Jessica Bortner, Executive Director of Community Hospital Health Foundation. “His dedication and vision have been instrumental in driving our mission forward.”
The Health Foundation extends its heartfelt appreciation to Neil Gohl and welcomes Michal Swanson to the board, confident in the positive impact his leadership will have.
