Cambridge boys score big win over Wolves; Bison sweep titles

Cambridge's Krayton Ruggles and the Trojans played a terrific first Friday night game of 2025 with their 54-40 win over Maywood-Hayes Center. Cambridge captured its third win this season (3-6) while the Wolves took only their second defeat in this showdown at Hayes Center. Watch for more details in the next McCook Gazette

LOUISVILLE, Neb. — The McCook High girls and boys basketball teams swept through Friday's Louisville Holiday Tournament title games while Cambridge scored a New Year's stunner over Maywood-Hayes Center in area basketball action.

McCook's girls are now 8-2 following a 46-23 victory over Nebraska City.

The Bison boys are now 6-3 with Friday's 68-51 against those host Louisville Lions.

Both teams host Gothenburg Tuesday evening.
