ARAPAHOE, Neb. — Senior Will Cacy’s 17 points and nine rebounds helped power the Arapahoe Warriors to a holiday home tournament win.
Eli Shafer mixed in a double delight with 10 points plus 13 rebounds.
Arapahoe advanced to Saturday’s home tourney championship game but fell 55-38 to Blue Hill.
Shafer cleaned the boards for another 11 rebounds while Gage Gooden’s 16 points topped the Warriors, now 1-9 overall.
Arapahoe won’t play again until Tuesday night at Maxwell.
Cambridge 39,

PLEASANTON, Neb. — The Cambridge boys captured third place in Pleasanton’s Holiday Tournament as Brady Ahlemeyer and Hodge Raburn each scored 14 points.
Braydon Miller was a beast with 10 rebounds.
The Trojans shook off a 65-52 loss to Pleasanton one night earlier.
Ahlmeyer still netted 18 points with Hodge scoring 16 besides a super six-steal defensive effort.
Junior Krayton Ruggles added 11 points for the 2-6 Trojans, who play Maywood-Hayes Center tonight in Maywood.
DC-S dominates
Axtell tournament
AXTELL, Neb. — The Dundy County-Stratton boys brilliantly rebounded from a recent rare home loss to Perkins County.
They first smothered Heartland Lutheran, 48-28, then tore up those Axtell Wildcats, 60-43, for another championship.
DC-S plays next against Chase County at Imperial Tuesday night.

Lucas Fries’ 15 points sparked the Longhorns’ second win this season Saturday night.
Camron Lempke joined Fries in double figures with 10 points. Together, they made 10 field goals while shooting exactly 50 percent.
Carson Terryberry contributed eight points and seven rebounds for the 2-5 Longhorns.
Kole Clevenger collected a team-high 10 rebounds, Lemke eight and Terryberry seven.

Decatur Comm. 48
Undefeated Trego, Kan. (6-0) survived Gage Williby’s 24 points during this Dec. 21 contest.
Tyler Ostmeyer and Caden Shaw each added 10 points to keep the 4-2 Decatur Community-Oberlin Red Devils within striking distance.

ARAPAHOE, Neb. — The Arapahoe girls reached their holiday tournament game thanks to a super attack featuring Suttyn Shafer’s 17 points Friday evening.
Sawyer Shafer swiped six steals to go with her nine points and three rebounds.
Clara Hilker netted nine points while Cadence Carpenter corralled nine rebounds. Freshman Tatym Roskop mixed in five rebounds and four more steals.

The Rawlins County, Kan., girls take a 5-1 record into 2025 following their holiday break since Saturday, Dec. 21.
Camden Franklin’s 18 points fueled this big Buffaloes victory and Kayte Shively 15.
Raegan Hagan topped the Falcons’ attack though Madysen Carlson also delivered a strong 11 points, nine rebounds.

The Decatur Community-Oberlin, Kan., Red Devils are 4-2 starting 2025 after Jenna Fortin and Elsa Larson each scored 13 points in this recent Friday night win.
