Trojan wrestlers lead Fran Jorgensen area field with top three finish
CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — The host Cambridge Trojans made a strong run for Saturday’s Fran Jorgensen Invite team title as they placed third above 17 other teams.
Only Loomis’ 136.5 points and Wilcox-Hildreth with 122 topp Cambridge’s 112,.
The Trojans outwrestled several RPAC foes with Alma fifth and Arapahoe sixth (76 points).
Decatur Community-Oberlin powered up to fourth overall (111 points) — just one point behind Cambridge.
Hitchcock County’s 51 points completed the top 10.

138 pounds: Briggs Hill (15-1 record), ARAP won the championshipwith his :18 pin of runner-up Tyson Freeman (13-3), LOOM.
160: Carter Hanes (17-0), CAM, won the championship with his 1:29 pin of Alex Meier (15-5), Elm Creek. Kaden Sowers (11-4), DEC, placed third when he won 8-4 over Cauy Twohig, W-H.
132: Abram Norton (13-4), CAM, placed second, reaching the title match where Carter Horner (10-3), LOOM, won in 4:27.
160: Colton Perks (16-3), CAM, placed second though he lost a 20-6 final to Cazen Smith (14-1), Twin Loup.
215: Trey Downey (12-5), ARAP, placed second though he lost a 1:26 final match to Draden Herl (9-4), Hoxie, Kan.
285: Jacen Smith (11-2), ARAP, placed second with Caden Sanson (7-1), LOOM winning thier title match in :37.
138B: Lucas Linner (5-8), DEC, placed second as he lost a 5:25 title match to Pierce Phelps (7-6), Sandhills Valley.
126: Charlie Houser (11-5), CAM, placed third when he pinned Cody Parker, DEC, in 1:53.
144: Dierks Sayer (16-4), CAM, placed third when he pinned Christian Titus-Smith (7-4), DEC, in 1:57. Smith-Titus placed fourth.
