Haymakers fight off Bison boy wrestlers, 35-34
McCOOK, Neb. — Coach Nick Umscheid’s point was proven quite often against the Cozad Haymakers Thursday evening:
“Getting a pin here or not giving up a pin or a point there can decide a dual,” he said following his McCook Bison’s 35-34 loss to visiting Cozad.
The Haymakers brought their usual strong team into MHS but they also forfeited three weights which helped give McCook a stronger fighting chance.
Yet returning state medalist Tristan Campbell and qualifier Spencer Steinbeck delivered those lone two Bison pins.Cozad 35,
