McCOOK, Neb. - Timothy L. Peterson passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident on Dec. 6, 2024, in Omaha, Neb., at the age of 47.

Tim was born on Oct. 18, 1977, to parents Terry L and Donna L. (McFarland) Peterson in North Platte, Neb. Tim grew up in McCook where he attended McCook High School with the class 1996.

In Tim’s younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later in life, he had numerous hobbies such as riding motorcycles, leather work, playing the violin, and arts and crafts.

In his professional life, Tim was a salesman for precious metals and store manager.

Tim will be remembered for his love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and pets.

He is proceeded in death by his mother, Donna Peterson, and grandparents.

Those left to celebrate Tim’s life are his father, Terry (Chris) Peterson of McCook, Neb.; sister, Kellie (Erik) Mahanes of North Platte, Neb.; two nephews, Lucas and Clayton; and numerous friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

There will be a private family memorial service that will be held at a later date.
