McCook High senior Brooklynn Gillen will continue to entertain her hometown fans as she signed to play softball for McCook Community College on Tuesday. The Class B honored shortstop batted an amazing .583 this season and .436 during her McCook High School career. She plans to begin studying nursing and/or radiology at MCC. Calmly witnessing the signing (above) were (from left) dad Lance Gillen, mom Lance Gillen and brother Easton Gillen. Standing are sisters Kassidy and Kelsey Gillen. Several McCook High teammates and classmates show a little more of the reaction about this event below.

More about Brooklynn and teammate/Concordia University softball signee Briley Morgan will appear in an upcoming edition of the Gazette, likely on Friday. The Bison delivered a 26-8 season this fall, Southwest Conference and subdistrict titles.
