Younger Bison wrestlers win several titles at opening meet

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The McCook Junior High wrestling team competed in a North Platte Middle School Quadrangular to start their season on Tuesday.

Team scores were not recorded but several Bison earned top places while competing against Ogallala, Lexington and North Place.

A complete rundown of McCook top three placers:

105-112 pounds: Isaac Dutton won the championship while scoring 16 points. He won 7-6 over J. Orozco, Lex; won 9-0 over G. Tiller, MC.

107-113: Alec Osborne won the championship, scored 18 points. He pinned T. Phillips, NP, in 2:53; won by fofeit over K. Foster, MC.

120-122: Joel Tietz, MC, won the championship, scored 20 points. He pinned J. Antonio, Lex, in 1:49; pinned I. Martin, NP, in 1:23; pinned D. Luts, OGA, in :59.

142-152: Crosby Crowe won the championship, scoring 20 points. He pinned W. Holstein, OGA, in 2:31; pinned K. Mancia, NP, in :36; pinned D. Hernandez, Lex, in :15.

184-196: Coen Greenlee won the championship, scored 20 points. He pinned J. Bobo, NP, in :54; won by forfeit over S. Seybold, MC; pinned C. Wiezorek, NP, in :14.

193-204: Bryant Edwards won the championship, scored 20 points. He pinned I. Timmerman, NP, in :08; won by forfeit over C. Rowe, MC; pinned J. Drascovic, Lex, in 1:35.

74-79: Sam Siegfried placed second, scored 10 points. He won 9-7 over T. King, NP and 9-6 over G. Velasquez, Lex.
