Ted Chancellor commissioned as Navy Ensign
NEWPORT, RI - McCook native Ted Chancellor was recently commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy Reserves, graduating Officer Development School on Sept. 27, 2024, in Newport, R.I. Chancellor’s military journey began with active duty service from 2005 to 2010, after which he transitioned to the Navy Reserves, serving from 2010 to the present.
A graduate of McCook High School, Chancellor has built a notable academic and professional career. He holds a bachelors degree in Aviation Management from Jacksonville University, a Master of Science in Project Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and is a doctoral candidate in Public Administration at Liberty University. He currently works as a manager of airport operations at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, overseeing the Joint Operations Center.
Ted and his wife live in Indian Land, SC, with their four children—Alexis, Luke, Eric, and Carter. Ensign Chancellor will serve as an Aviation Maintenance Duty Officer (AMDO) at Fleet Readiness Center Norfolk and continue his role at the Navy Reserve Center Charlotte.
