McCOOK, Neb. — McCook hosted its first Unified Bowling meet of the season on Saturday November 2 at TJ's Family Fun Center.

McCook placed 3rd against a very tough field of teams. Lexington won the meet with a total pinfall of 2400, Ogallala 2084, McCook 1985, and Broken Bow with 1713.

"It was the first meet of the season and we are working on finding teams that gel. I am so proud of everyone's commitment to Unified Bowling," coach Lynne Kinne commented.

On Saturday, McCook traveled to Lexington to compete in their invite.

The team of Riley O'Brien, Kolton Koetter, Izzy Clause, Layton Winters, and Landon Kmoch finished the day with 1522 just 15 pins shy of the runner-ups Grand Island Northwest. Cambridge won the division with a total pinfall of 1633. In Division 2, the team of Blake Myers, Lacyn Keller, Lacey Rouse, Zach HInz, and Sutton Labrie secured a runner-up victory with a total pinfall of 1266. Lexington won that Division with a total pinfall of 1450.

"I am so proud of how well everyone bowled and performed. Unified Bowling is a short sport and wouldn't be possible without the dedication of all the athletes and participants," Kinne concluded.

Next up for McCook: they travel to Kearney for a triangular Monday against Kearney and Broken Bow.
