Omaha man arrested in South Carolina child exploitation case

OMAHA, Neb. — A man wanted in connection with a child exploitation investigation in South Carolina has been arrested in Omaha by the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Tech Crimes Unit.
Authorities in Anderson County, South Carolina, alerted the NSP that the suspect, Luis Romero, was believed to be in Omaha. Romero, 36, was wanted on multiple charges, including three counts each of disseminating obscene material to a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor, and solicitation of a minor.
NSP investigators, with support from Homeland Security Investigations, located and arrested Romero on Wednesday morning. He is currently held at Douglas County Corrections awaiting extradition.
