Bison tennis quartet captures 'B' all-state mention
LINCOLN, Neb. — The Nebraska Coaches’ Association Class B All-State Boys tennis team features four McCook Bison earning honorable mention this week.
Seniors Reid Loop, Landon Kmoch, Sutton LaBrie and junior Aaron Frank were all honored following success at the recent Class B state tournament.
Loop and Frank capped their No. 1 doubles season with seventh-place state medals.
Kmoch and LaBrie defeated a Top 10-seeded Kearney Catholic team to cap their winning season.
Despite just one returning varsity regular, McCook still delivered a strong dual season en route to finishing 13th among more than 30 Class B teams competing at Lincoln’s Woods Tennis Center.
Team champion Elkhorn Mount Michael put all six varsity players on either the Class B first or second teams. Elkhorn North featured three more selections.
