Pool stars shoot 'for a cure' while winning tournament
McCOOK, Neb. — The “Shoot For A Cure” 8-Ball Doubles tournament held recently at TJ’s Family Fun Center in McCook had 15 teams competing for a share of $1,300 in prize money.
The event was in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. $900 in entry fees was donated to breast cancer research, with Western Nebraska APA providing the prize money to the top six teams.

First place - David and Vickie Thornbrugh (Stratton)
Second place - Bill Thornbrugh and Lee Anderson (Benkleman)
Third place - Danielle Zuege (Parks) and Tammy Dike (McCook). Heather Wright and Richard White (North Platte).
Fifth place - David Vigneur (Culbertson) and Daniel Olson (McCook). Kendall Foster and Zach Fogel (McCook).
