Wolves win C-2 subdistrict, takes on No. 2 Oakland-Craig
HAYES CENTER, Neb. — The Maywood-Hayes Center Wolves are moving on to Class C-2 district finals following their 25-16, 27-25, 25-14 win over Arcadia-Loup City Wednesday evening.
May-Hay’s now 24-7 and subdistrict champions following a semifinal sweep of Sutton Tuesday.
The Wolves are seeded No. 15 among Class C-2 teams and will make a long trip to No. 2 Oakland-Craig for Saturday’s C-2 state qualifier.
Opening serve time is set for 2 p.m. in Oakland.
The Wolves resumed winning off last wee’s RPAC tourney runner-up team finish to 32-0 Southwest.
Key team leaders have been seniors Reagan Stengel, Kassidy Hatfield, juniors Blayklee Farr, Karissa Stengel, Grace Loomis, sophomores Caylie Softley and Addison Richards.
