No 1 seeds advance in RPAC with wins over Eagles, Broncos

BARTLEY, Neb. — No. 1-seeds Southwest and Maywood-Hayes Center won two matches apiece on Thursday which means Monday’s RPAC tournament resumes at those two highest seeds.

The tourney continues through Tuesday’s third place and championship matches at McCook’s Graff Events Center.

Some first-round scores Thursday night:

EAST

No. 1 Southwest over No. 8 Medicine Valley 25-15, 25-14, 25-14

No. 5 Southern Valley over No. 4 Bertrand 20-25, 27-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-9

No. 4 Bertrand over No. 8 Medicine Valley 25-18, 24-26, 25-17

No. 1 Southwest over No. 5 Southern Valley 25-21, 25-22, 25-10

WEST

No. 1 Maywood-Hayes Center over No. 8 Sutherland 24-26, 25-13, 25-16, 25-12

No. 4 Wauneta-Palisade over No. 5 Wallace 25-12, 12-25, 25-23, 25-16

No. 5 Wallace over No. 8 Sutherland 25-22, 25-18

No. 1 May-Hay over No. 4 Wauneta-Palisade (final score not obtained)
