GERING, Neb. — Freshman Hailey Smalley hit par on three of her final six holes while McCook teammate Kapri Loop tied for 23rd place among 75 competing in Tuesday's Class B state golf tournament.

Loop shot 97 on Tuesday but reached par on two holes compared to only one during Monday's round of 93. Her 190 matched Lincoln Northwest junior Rylee Zimmerman, Gretna sophomore Ella Porter and Norris junior Jolei Skov.

Smalley totaled a 208 after finishing at an even 100 Monday afternoon. She totaled seven pars through her 36 state holes.

H.S. shared 53rd place with Alliance sophomore Ryley Norris, Norris sop Mackenzie Jantzen and Bennington junior Mackenzie Royer at Monument Shadows Golf Course.
