McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Bison overcame an opening nearly 10-minute Ogallala touchdown drive and eventually held on for a 14-12 home victory at Weiland Field Friday night.

Bison juniors Tristan Campbell and Miles Pullman both made super sideline touchdown catches with sophomore Gunner Kaps making two huge PAT kicks. The Bison trailed 6-0 then 12-7 before finally scoring their fifth win this season while Ogallala slipped to 1-6.

McCook (5-1) will play at Scottsbluff next week in a huge final regular-season road game that could determine the district champion. Watch for more details in the Gazette next week.

McCook junior Trey Tiller (55) was ready to defend one final and very rare Ogallala pass attempt Friday night. The Indians were trying on fourth down but McCook's defense forced a final incompletion that clinched their 14-12 win at Weiland Field. The Bison are now 5-2 entering next week's huge district game at Scottsbluff.
