Recognitions, bond meeting recap on school board agenda
McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Public School’s Board of Education will recognize Nutrein Ag Solutions and Kugler Company’s generous support of the local FFA chapter and acknowledge their contributions to the community’s agricultural education.
The board will also be accepting a check for $1,775.05 from MNB from their Bison Debit cards.
Superintendent Grant Norgaard will present insights from the school improvement team’s self-assessment. The district was evaluated at the second highest operational level, indicating progress; however, the assessment revealed that achieving full stakeholder engagement in the improvement process remains an area for growth.
A recap of the recent Bond Information meeting will be provided.
Details about an upcoming teacher training session aimed at enhancing instructional practices. The session will feature a renowned expert in assessment and teacher clarity.
Mr. Jole Bednar, Central Elementary Principal, will lead the elementary staff through adopting new English Language Arts materials, ensuring students have access to quality resources.
Jeff Gross, MPS’s business manager, will present his financial report on the district’s budget and expenditures.
The board will acknowledge several teacher resignations and revisit the Teacher Evaluation Policy per the Nebraska Department of Education’s request.
Lastly, they will update policies and adjust file numbers to align with the newly established policy manual.
The meeting is open to the public, and members of the McCook Public School community are encouraged to attend.
