LINCOLN, Neb. — Two Nebraska-made products are in a head-to-head race to claim the championship title in Nebraska’s 2024 Coolest Thing Made in Nebraska competition.

The following Nebraska manufacturers and their featured products are finalists:

• Valley Center Pivot, Valley Irrigation – A Valmont Company, Valley

• Toilet Paper, Outlook Nebraska, Omaha

Public voting for the finalists in the bracket-style competition is now open and will be held through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, October 13. All Nebraskans are invited to vote for the 2024 champion at www.nemanufacturingalliance.com.

Each voter is permitted one vote per match-up, per round. The contest, hosted by the Nebraska Manufacturing Alliance and powered by the Neb. Chamber, celebrates the state’s thriving manufacturing industry with Nebraska residents, students, educators, community leaders, manufacturers and especially, the more than 100,000 Nebraskans working in manufacturing every day.

The tournament leads Nebraskans into the annual celebration of Nebraska Manufacturing Month. The Coolest Thing will be announced October 29 at the Neb. Chamber’s Manufacturing Summit in La Vista, where the top 16 finalists are invited to display their products.

Five statewide manufacturing groups have pledged to coordinate efforts to grow manufacturing and STEM workforce in Nebraska over the next decade.

The Alliance aims to bring efficiency and alignment to various programs through new research, policy advocacy, and strengthened partnerships.
