Fall Festival offers family fun, benefits families in need
McCOOK Neb. - Those looking for something to do with kids may enjoy The annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m., hosted by the Red Willow Western Rural Fire Department. This family-friendly event will feature various activities for kids, including games, a low-scare maze made from hay bales for just $2 per person, and a bounce house.
Billie Cole, one of the event organizers, expressed excitement about the offerings: “We have tons of giveaways. Each child will receive a goodie bag filled with items to make Jack O’ Lanterns and plenty of candy!”
As the sun sets, prepare for the thrilling high-scare maze, open from 7 to 11 p.m., with admission priced at $5 per person.
All proceeds from the festival will go towards preparing Thanksgiving meal boxes for families in need, “Every Thanksgiving, we provide turkeys and all the fixings, put them in a box, and we take them to families that might not have the opportunity to have a big Thanksgiving dinner.” Cole shared.
The annual Fall Festival will be at the Red Willow Western Rural Fire Department located at 38483 Drive 715, reached by heading south from B Street on Federal Avenue, under the railroad overpass and turning right.
