HOLBROOK, Neb. - Danial Lucas Schulz, 49 years of age, of Holbrook, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024 at his home. He was born July 8, 1975 in Crete, Neb. to Denis and Pauline (Harper) Schulz.

They started their family in Lincoln, Neb. Pauline, Matt, and Dan moved back to the Oxford area after Denis’s death. Pauline met and married Warren Harper on Aug. 16, 1985 and the family resided in Holbrook, Neb. Dan graduated from Arapahoe-Holbrook Public Schools with the class of 1993. June 8, 2004, he married Jami Houser and to this union his only child was born, Jadan Rae Schulz. This union later ended in divorce. Dan was a loving and devoted father, caring brother, and loyal friend to many. In his spare time, Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his daughter and supporting her in her activities.

He was preceded in death by his father Denis Schulz, his mother Pauline and stepfather Warren Harper, grandparents Rolland and Bernice McQuiston, Uncle Don Stafford, and cousin Wendy (Salyers) Pollard.

He is survived by his daughter Jadan Schulz of Arapahoe, Neb., step-daughter Krista Sayer (Jay) of Cambridge, Neb., brother Matthew Schulz (Kari) of Holbrook, Neb., step-brother Brent Harper (Sandy), niece Kolbi Harper of Randolph, Kan., and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Celebration of life will be Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Garey Funeral Chapel, 652 Main Street, Arapahoe, Neb. Garey Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Neb. is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences and personal reflections may be left at gareyfuneralhome.com
